Does LoneBuddy contact emergency services?
No. LoneBuddy alerts the Buddy contacts you choose. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service directly when you can.
Does my Buddy need LoneBuddy?
No. Buddy alerts are sent by SMS.
Is my location tracked continuously?
No. LoneBuddy uses location for relevant safety actions rather than continuously tracking you.
Do I need Premium to try it?
No. Free includes 1 Buddy, a 30-minute check-in timer, SOS, missed check-in alerts, low-battery safety alerts and Safety logs. Premium is optional and adds more Buddies, longer custom check-ins, additional safety profiles and extra tools.
Can a paywall interrupt an active alert?
No. An alert or safety session that is already active continues to completion even if Premium entitlement changes during that event. Subscription restrictions apply only after the active event has ended.
Is LoneBuddy an employer lone-worker system?
No. LoneBuddy is a personal safety app for individuals. Someone may use it while working alone, but it is not an employer monitoring, workforce management or compliance solution.
